Privacy Policy

This privacy policy, as of 23/05/2018 is to outline our compliance with the GDPR legis lation and changes to European data protection law.  We take the protection of your privacy and confidentiality seriously  -we understand that all visitors to our website are entitled to know that their personal data will not be used for any purpose unintended by them, and will not accidentally fall into the hands of a third party that we have not specifically outlined below.

We have a duty to clearly outline what data the data controllers we work with handle. They will process some or all of the following where necessary to perform their tasks:

  2. Contact details such as telephone numbers, addresses, and email addresses;

How do we process your personal data?

Why do we process your personal data?

Except as set out below, we do not share, or sell, or disclose to a third party, any information collected through our website.

We will keep some records permanently if we are legally required to do so. We may keep some other records for an extended period of time. For example, it is current best practice to keep financial records for a minimum period of 7 years to support HMRC audits or 6 years for VAT records. In general, we will endeavour to keep data only for as long as we need it. This means that we may delete it when it is no longer needed.

When exercising any of the rights listed below, in order to process your request, we may need to verify your identity for your security. In such cases we will need you to respond with proof of your identity before you can exercise these rights.

You have the right to access information we hold on you.

  • At any point you can contact us to request the information we hold on you as well as why we have that information, who has access to the information and where we obtained the information from. Once we have received your request we will respond within one month.
  • If the data we hold on you is out of date, incomplete or incorrect, you can inform us and your data will be updated.

You have the right to have your information erased

  • If you feel that we should no longer be using your data or that we are illegally using your data, you can request that we erase the data we hold.
  • When we receive your request we will confirm whether the data has been deleted or the reason why it cannot be deleted.

You have the right to object to processing of your data

  • You have the right to request that we stop processing your data. Upon receiving the request we will contact you and let you know if we are able to comply or if we have legitimate grounds to continue to process your data. Even after you exercise your right to object, we may continue to hold your data to comply with your other rights or to bring or defend legal claims.

You have the right to request your data

  • You have the right to request that we transfer some of your data to another controller. We will comply with your request, where it is feasible to do so, within one month of receiving your request.

Cookies and Third Parties

We only use third parties that we trust and that clearly display a transparent means of using data. Our sign-up forms are powered by Mailchimp. When you sign up, your data is properly stored by Mailchimp - if you do not give your consent to receiving marketing material from Griffin and/or Loveland Farm, you won't hear from us. Simple. 

Other trusted third parties such as courier companies are used for the delivery of online orders.

We use Squarespace as our e-commerce platform because we trust their services in terms of user experience, and the platforms dedication to offering the most secure, least evasive shopping experience to our customers. We monitor the analytics using Squarespace and Google Analytics. We make sure this data is anonymous by not connecting analytics data to personally identifiable data number as a name, email address, physical address, or phone number.
